Not sure audio is the best format for this book. Idk ... I know it's from 1989 and beloved and I think the concept is cool! But the way this guy writes sex scenes gives me the ick. I was immersed in the world building, ready to hear this chapter's introduction of the shrike and the BOOM! weird sex scene! :/

I find the writing in this book a little more challenging than everything else I've read lately, having to go back and relisten to the chapter One several times. I also broke down and listened to some analysis on YT for better context. Boy the twist at the end was a worthy payoff! My interest is still here.
