Oh, we got a Hastings novel!

Could honestly not even guess where this story is going to end up.

Part of me really wishes I was reading, rather than having it on audiobook. But the other part is glad to have to sit and digest what's happening in between listens, rather than binge-reading.

I regret to update that I didn't beat the Libby deadline. Please keep me in your thoughts and prayers, as this has been a real wake up call.

Regarding the book. It's some hard sci-fi, but I really enjoyed it. Just should have probably not started it with under a week before it was due.

I was not prepared for how connected this is in the Cosmere. I'm rusty haha

I cannot begin to describe the joy I get out of relating some of the fun facts from this book to my family.

I'm not sure about this one. But it stands in the way of starting the Broken Earth trilogy. So we will power through!

I just can't make any progress. Still TBD on if it's me or the book.

Medieval monks in a murder mystery!? Seems like it's right up my alley. And yet... I cannot make any progress through this thing. To be determined if it's the book or just me hitting the reading lull I seem to fall into each year. Also, please don't tell my Latin teachers I have failed to retain any useable translation abilities.

It's early, to be fair. But I think I get what this is trying to do. I just am not quite sure that I'm the intended audience for it. Gonna power through.
