I have finally finished this book once more, it is a great story to enjoy. the series is wild and its easy to fall in love and admiration for these characters, clay's perspective is wild, and fun, hes such a loving character and just because hes the biggest dragon, he has the biggest heart. wings of fire is my most recommended book series.

well clay's love life is slim but he has a sky wing who is in love with him, she could potentially kill him due to the fact she has too much fire in her claws, pearl is a dragon taken from her mother who was forced to be the sky wings queen heir and she was corrupted to think the queen was actually her protector, pearl wanted to be with clay but he had a journey so there love is unknown for now.

well hes already made that big decision, he had to leave a cave with his friends to stop a war and find there families, so the book is of him and his friends leaving and exploring the rest of the book, they get kidnapped and then were forced to fight, to kill. they soon escaped and clay found his mother disappointed in her, but found his siblings he loved them, but realized his friends are family.

the first few pages yes, but let alone just the first page intrigues me. the prologue is wonderful is immediately goes into a oncoming war your about to read, about sand wings dying and how other dragonets are supposed to help an entire continent the words smooth out and rhyme but also causes confusion and curiosity so it makes you want to read more and understand about this entire adventure.

through what I've read of clay's point of view he's going on a journey with his friends escaping the fact he was trapped under a cave for about 6 years trying to find his family but ends up finding this dragon who is a different species of him, her name is pearl she is a fire dragon he is a mud dragon and she falls in love with him, of course the problem was she had to much fire so they thought they could never touch

she ends scenes with information just out of reach, so my brain has to say "okay just one more chapter." sometimes I get the sense that something bad could happen at any moment, which keeps me alert as a reader. the chapters are quick and clean, just when a scene gets intense, it ends. so the pacing creates a rhythm, you read one chapter-cliff or the reveal- then read another. Her writing adores me.

in wings of fire book one, the dragnet prophecy, clay is very likable and he's written to be intentionally sympathetic. he is because of his kindness and vulnerability outweigh his flaws, while repulsive characters lack empathy and moral struggles. so clay is a very lovable character. like a soft rock.

clay is his own perspective, he wants to escape the home he has been stuck in for five years since he was born, he wants to protect all of his friends who feel like family, and he thinks that when escaping all they have to do is go find there family members, but he ends up getting captured again, along with his friends now he has to be a big hero.

love this series since i was little, made my dad grab any book he could get, and then the first Christmas i finally all had fifteen of this beautiful series. of course i had to re-read everything i have all the novels and graphic versions as well, hopefully by the end of this semester i can finally get through them all.
