just got a library card

I need to get a library card TODAY so I can read my literary fiction books again, not just listen to Spotify library books

I have a crush on Elena

listening to the audiobook while I move stuff into my new house. Scott hunter is just like me bc I would also want to pay my lovers student loans off after one month of dating. especially if I had professional athlete money. he’s just like a lesbian w her first girlfriend.

part of the issue w this series is a whole is that you don’t really feel the stakes that the characters talk about. like they’ve just been outed accidentally and I mostly feel relieved. maybe that’s part of the intention but there’s been like 4 books building up to this and how awful it would be. rivalry where?

I didn’t really like the first one at all, so I am surprised at how much I like this one. Honestly a great example of writing a couple with the chemistry still together years into the relationship. I also love seeing everyone being gay its like a real queer friend group. Rarely is it ever one and done. Genuinely so surprised with how much better this one feels

im feeling so hateful about this which really sucks bc i dont like to hate queer books. dialogue is so stilted and descriptive language is almost nothing, the author just tells you exactly how to feel about everything. no giving any description to determine mood or tone, she’s just gonna tell you. completely devoid of style and the beginning of this is so boring

crazy to me that a person wrote this and not a tumblr sentence regurgitation machine. “what is so wrong about being a bitch? it is the closest a girl can be to a wolf.” god. it’s page 17 and theres already been at least one of these per page, not to mention that every sentence is a cliche and has been seen a million times before

😭 i miss having my literary fiction library books to read while subbing I hate this book and how it’s written already. would rather listen to the audiobook. no idea how i came to own a physical copy

there are so many things that i like about this book, so writing them all out would take forever

it’s alright so far, but all the horrific social media comments being interspersed throughout is RAGE BAITING me. not a criticism, its just happening.

If there’s one thing a man is gonna do, it’s abandon his girlfriend around the time she’s getting surgery. Doesnt matter what surgery it is or who the girlfriend is. Let’s see what Vincent does the second time around.

i get why astrid pisses everyone off. what weird opinions she has on butch/femme couples and fem lesbians being ostracized LMAO many such cases and they are all on TikTok or Twitter

it’s crazy to me how people abuse adderall. like how are you high rn on 20 mg of amphetamine salts? i cannot conceptualize how that feels, i barely feel a difference on my prescribed adderall

the craziest thing about astrid getting canceled for what she said is that people would have said she was a genius and relatable if she had written that same thing in a book. once you can detach the words from the big scary lesbian saying them and read them on the page, I feel like the remark would have been well-received.

i would last maybe 3 minutes with these people before pulling out all my eyebrow hairs
