starting to get roped into the creepiness, but i was pulled out by the direct addressing of me, the reader, by the mc like… “i have, as i have told you, reader” don’t do that!!!

something about the blatant intentional neutrality of the mc’s gender as a clearly respected and high ranking officer is doing good things for me and my enjoyment of this book in the 30 pages i’ve read so far
