Is this going to be good? Probably not.
It’s way too short for an mpreg story to hit the sweet spot of paranormal science/worldbuilding for me.
I’m only here because it’s Nick J Russo narrating and I wanted something short and uncomplicated as a palate cleanse after my last DNF. This is short enough that it would need to be really really bad for me to DNF

I don’t enjoy flashbacks…

I mean… That Night(tm), Lance’s inner turmoil is a little painful. But it doesn’t change that it’s shitty, communicate maybe instead of disappearing?

Also… how many times are they going to say they have the same eye color and now it’s like you copied my eyes so you can truly see me? Or whatever?

We had a couple of flashback chapters of That Night(tm) in college but otherwise it’s just them lusting for each other in the present…

Well fuck life is getting in the way of me just spending my time in this book and having to stop for 30min is fucking killing me right now. I am hooked on this.

So I quite enjoy the mystery and ghost aspects of this story but I do not feel the romance at all… these characters don’t have chemistry. Or at least not one that I actually enjoy

Ugh the Closet takes a long time to open.
It’s not even like they’re feeling good in the secrecy. They both hate it actually but Kelly doesn’t want to move in together because he doesn’t feel secure enough and Blue is convinced he is living and breathing football unless he’s supposed to actually be living and breathing football and then he actually is just there missing Kelly

You mean that I’ve gone through 38% of this book for one of the main element of alien first contact to be done in 5min???? Fucking hell

It’s not a fun read right now.
The main character’s narration is failing at making care about him.
The info dump and flashbacks are destroying the pacing and tension that we could have had in space.
It’s not working idk. I do want to meet Rocky the alien and that’s why I’m sticking to it right now or I’d consider DNF at this point because I don’t think the pacing is going to get better

The only thing I like about it right now is the idea of a space algae.

I liked the start when he had amnesia. The first few flashbacks to bring direct knowledge of who he was were fine.
I’m at 20% and I just don’t like this pacing that keeps moving from present space and flashbacks from earth. We barely get into space vibes and then boom we’re on earth again and it’s kills the mood. I can’t get into it or care about any of it. Also a scientist asking what H2O means… come on
