Seems like this is doing the same thing as the Farseer trilogy where it focuses much much more on the fantastical in the last book. I hate the whole sea drake plotline :( It just pales in comparison to the complex character work laid out in the first two books.

Nothing worse than a ton of made up fantasy names when listening to audiobooks. They all sound the same and I don’t know who anyone is.

There's something to be said about Kristoff continuing to write smut with teenagers for adult audiences...

I’m enjoying this so far but Kristoff’s humor is stuck in 5th grade. The banter is so repetitive and juvenile.

This isn’t bad and the couple is cute but it focuses on an investigation which just isn’t my thing and bores me. I don’t care who instigated this person’s death that I never got to know.

I needed a book like this as a teenager, I just wish it wasn’t about theatre kids.

This is surprisingly good?!? The ugly cover doesn’t match the inside at all. So far this somehow reminds me of a ghibli movie but dark and gritty? The detailed mail delivery to supernatural beings just gives me those vibes.
