This is boring :(

So far the catchy title is the best part about this book

It's not doing it for me the way Secret History did. I just don't care about the characters at all. I will try and come back to it after I've read some more inspiring things.

I'm sorry, this book was so boring. I wish I could get it. I tried, I really did. DNF this one for now. Maybe someone will convince me otherwise down the road.

Ok I’m so sorry after a really strong start, this book quickly became so corny and cringey and also boring. Can someone tell me that I should keep going?

Need to take a break from this unfortunately… I’m just not getting pulled into it like I had hoped.

I really enjoy books about ecology and scientists of the past (loved the Invention of Nature!) but so far, this is not it. David Jordan seems like a huge asshole, and the writing is very unsatisfying. I like the idea of tying in the author's personal life to this ecologist's mission, but the execution of it is blah. I'm sad about this, because I was looking forward to reading this book for a long time.
