SUPPORTING CHARACTER: Charlie has a friend named Skinny .Charlie has always had a good relationship with skinny during the entire book. Skinny is a good influence and is always try's to keep Charlie positive. "Its hot out here. How long we gotta wait in line, Skinny? Stop sweating Charlie be more positive you'll be fine"(Pg.356) This shows how Skinny makes Charlie be more positive.

Making Connections: One day Charlie and his friends wanted to make money so they stole coke bottles from a teacher's classroom and sold them to buy snacks. Charlie's mom found out about this and as a punishment Charlie's mom made Charlie walk his teacher's dog. Charlie hates dogs because they always trip him. This is a text to world connection because this shows that if you do something bad you will be punished.

ANTAGONIST: Rafe has a lot of problems in his new middle school but his biggest problem are two kids named Zeke and Kenny. "I took Matty into the computer lab and showed him the fake page Zeke and Kenny made" (Pg 149). The fake page showed Rafe getting bullied and fake information about Rafe. This shows that Rafe's antagonists are Zeke and Kenny because they are picking on Rafe and making him feel bad.

Genre:Humor is a topic I enjoy.The world that is created by the author is a world of funniness and laughter.The character's are very use to this but Rafe is still learning about this."Zeke Mc Donald held up his sketch for everyone else to see.He has drawn a portrait of me and the whole class laughs expect for me"(page 75) This shows that Rafe is not used to humor and laughs.

ASK QUESTIONS: I have been wondering about if Hope is going to make a new friend at her new school.Hope has always had a friend from elementary school named Sam but now they have no classes together this year.So far Hope has been talking to this girl named Camila Rosa Rivera in Spanish class."Whats your name?I ask Camila Rosa Rivera she says proudly'(Pg 45)This shows that Hope is trying to make a new friend.

Protagonist:Tamika is a young girl who loves to play basketball. She was really excited to play on hoop group until she found out that her Dad couldn't coach hoop group because he was sick.Tamika really wants to play but can't if there is no coach."When Tamika arrives to principal Kim's office she waits and reads her argument hoping to coach hoop group."(Pg79) This shows that Tamika wants to play on hoop group.

PREDICTION:Anthony's parents are likely going to get a divorce"Anthony's parents kept fighting about money and daytime drinking until one day ---one ugly,dreary day in the middle of January---Anthony's dad got so mad that he pushed Anthony's mom down a flight of stairs.She was Paralyzed instantly"(Pg.91) This shows that Anthony's parents don't have the best relationship with each other and may break up in the future.

CONFLICT: The conflict of this story is Miles fighting with the warden which makes the book a character vs character conflict. For example,
"The Warden in a fit of panic, took a wild swing aiming for Miles face." (pg 239) The Warden threw many more punches and hit Miles. (pg. 240) Miles grabbed a lamp and hit the Warden on the head with it. This shows that the conflict is character vs character.

POV:This story is told from the 3rd person limited mostly from Miles Morales point of view.He is a young teenager with special powers that alert him to danger. But Miles' Spidey senses "had been on the fritz" and he begins to get into trouble at school. (p. 2) One time "he was actually suspended for leaving class. But here's the thing - Miles didn't really have to pee...Miles had to rescue someone. (p.2)
