Like all the other books this one is based on lies. But the FMC is actually forthcoming, Joarr is the one keeping secrets for his-an the orcs-on gain. The only thing I’m finding increasingly difficult is the blatant self-harm that takes place, and there’s no mention from the blurb. Yes I understand -DARK- but this should be a trigger warning. The FMC obviously struggles with this whenever she feels overwhelmed.

I’m struggling to finish this book….it’s a bit redundant. “Ahhh he’s scary”” ahh I’m so scared of everything while being beautiful” “Just talk to me, while I be overly intense” sex.sex.sex. Rinse an repeat. The world building is kind of sloppy also, I’m a bit let down with this book, because I love her other books.

Chapter 5
Flour jar filled with thousands of dollars?! The old man has no background that can be found but pays thousands in property taxes no problem? Maybe a criminal? The shed?Why isn’t his dad asking more questions? Why so secretive? & Charlie really calling in a bomb threat. Charlie is so helpful & adorable I love him an his father’s dynamic but a little more caution seriously dad! That talk wasn’t enough.

Listening on audible, so far so good. On chapter 3. I wonder what’s in the shed, why mr. Bowditch was suspicious about the flour can that supposedly held money for Radar. Radar is such a good girl. So far love the readers calm but expressive voice.

🙄 main characters without a backbone, that’s so annoying. She lacks so much confidence even though everyone goes out there way to tell her she’s beautiful, I get it dealing with that psychopath from her past but still, it’s annoying after a while.

Love the plot, main character is insufferable. Her misplaced pride & stubbornness has put her in harms way twice already.🙄
