A part that is confusing is when all the old men start saying that they are books. It is confusing because they say books are in their memory, and they are famous people reborn. "I am Plato's Republic, you want Marcus Aurelius? Mr. Simmons is Marcus"(144). This is the guy saying they are books and famous people, but how do they remember the books? That is why I think that this part is confusing.

One part that was sad is when Montag starts yelling at his wife. When Montag yells at his wife it is sad because he is yelling at her for staring at the tv all day with her "family" who are fake people on tv. "Does your 'family' love you, very much love you?"(73) Montag is saying that his wife is so obsessed with the fake family on the tv and that he thinks that she does not even pay attention to him anymore.

One part that is interesting is when Montag keeps a book from the burning womans house. It is interesting because he is talking to himself and his mind is surprised "He wanted to burn his hands, the were the offenders, little demons"( 78). This shows that he is still surprised and can't believe he took the book, which is why I find it so interesting.

One part I found interesting was when Montag goes home and finds his wife on the floor. I think this part is interesting because when Montag finds his wife on the floor, there is an empty bottle of sleeping tablets next to her body. He goes to the phone, hears jet bombers going overhead and he whispers into the telephone "Emergency hospital." (Page 11) This is interesting because of the way the author words it

One part that was unexpected is when the admiral had a heart attack and they brought him to the hospital. Roland flew them to the hospital but then told the Juvie cops that Risa and Connor were AWOL'S "Those two are runaway AWOL'S as soon as the old man is admitted they'll try to sneak away. Don't let them. Call the Juvie cops now." Then when the juvie cops came they also arrested Roland which was surprising.

It was very ironic because Connor gets captured and is brought to be unwound but there are "clappers" who explode the place and instead of getting unwound Connor gets his rival's unwound arm after the explosion destroyed his old one."I will never touch you with this hand"Pg.322. This shows that he despises the fact that he got his rival's arm and doesn't want to touch the person he loves with it.

One part that is sad is when the Admiral showed Connor the dead bodies of the Goldens. It is sad because they were just teens trying to survive until they turned 18 and they did not even do anything wrong."They dissapeared last night.I found them sealed in the crate this morning." This shows that they suffocated, which is a terrible way to die.

A part that is interesting is how the Admiral protects so many AWOL unwinds. I think it is interesting because he worked for the military and you would think that most military would support it. "These are dentures. They were used as fake teeth befor the Heartland War." This shows that he didn't get somebody who got unwound's teeth and that he would rather use outdated stuff than use other people parts.

A part I liked was when they were leaving the shelter the women had them write letters.I liked that because it gave the unwinds something to look forward to if they survive till 18. "If after 2 years you do not collect this card I will take it as you were unwound"
I chose this quote because it makes the unwinds want to survive but It also shows that they might not all survive and its very possible they get unwound."

An interesting part is when Connor and Risa attack the cop in the woods. I think it's an interesting part because first they dump Lev into a bush like they left him.. Then Risa cries out and pretends to be hurt. Once Connor jumps down and attacks Risa helps get the tranq gun and Connor even says"Nighty night"before he uses the tranq gun on the cop.
This shows it was interesting because they tranq'd the cop together

One part that was very sad was when Gary Soto threw his jacket into an alleyway. One example is when he heard people wispering about him and his jacket. "Although they didn't say out loud "Man that jacet is ugly". I could hear the buzz buzz of gossip." This shows that people didn't like his jacket and made him feel self conscious.

This books is Amazing so far I love it
