Summary- The main characters are the NBA players The book is about basketball all over the world. Some interesting pieces of basketball history are in the Basketball Hall of Fame. "Wilt Chamberlain wore these sneakers in 1962 when he became the only player to score 100 points in a game"(p. 63) They are held at the basketball Hall of Fame in Massachusettes.

Audience and Purpose- This book is aimed for a basketball audience and shows that it is for basketball fans as well. I know that this book is for basketball players because it shows the history and the important items and memorabilia that is from each time period. I know this because In the inside of the book It includes only facts and stories on how the memorabilia was recovered. Also which players it was.

Inciting Incident: Syd Hoff is the author of the art of cartooning book when he was just a kid he would often get laughed at for always making little doodle but on day he made a book published it and it became a huge success so then he decided that he was gonna make cartooning books for kids.

Inciting Incident: Syd Hoff loved cartooning as a kid but he was not liked and would be often picked on for his little doodles so one then he decided he would not listen to what they had to say. He ended up becoming very successful in his cartoon books for children.

Visualize: So far I can visualize the main character Will is suffering from pain because his big brother got shot and killed. I can visualize this happening because he says at that moment his mom was crying saying "my son why" as his girlfriend kissed his dead body for her last goodbye kisses. Will says "we u we u" as the ambulance" is blocks down.

Setting-This book takes place when Jimmy McCall was just a kid in his back yard he would play by him self acting as if he was already in the league. which it dates back to the early 1900s telling the life of him and what inspired him to play.

Connections- In the start of the book it says that Jimmy Mccall would play outside and he would pretend like he was in the NBA. I can connect to that because in my backyard I would go outside and act like I was on the Clippers and acted like I was Kawhi Lenard. It also says in the book how Jimmy would act like players and my friend Micheal also pretends to be like NBA players recreating their most crazy moments.

Genre: The genre of this book is sports fiction, it is also an autobiography. I can tell that it is an autobiography because the book tells me in detail what it was like being a young Kevin Durant and it shows what he has been through and tells the reader the ups and down that Kevin Durant has had a kid and as a teen. I also know it is sports fiction because the book it based on how Kevin would always play.

Inciting incident : Kevin Durant could not adapt to one basketball team when he was younger because he would always have to move from team to team. His parents eventually divorced when Durant was age 13 leaving Kevin to go a downward spiral in his life.

The 7 story archetypes: Lebron James has overcome many obstacles he was first poor living on the streets moving from house to house not knowing where he was gonna sleep the next day he was playing at the park . Then he played basketball He got an opportunity and made the cover of sports illustrated for basketball. Now his net worth is more than a billion man- that is how Lebron went from rags to riches.

supporting characters: A minor character in the Lebron James book the role he plays is Lebron James's friend his name is Mavrick Carter. The reason that he was added in was because he started from where Lebron James started they both played together at St.Mary high school in Akron. He is now Lebron James business partner

visualize: The quote that I am using is "he dribbled the ball down court probing the defense" which I can visualize someone/ my self dribbling down a court with the defense close to me. I picked this quote because I feel like it relates to me because when I am doing a basketball game I dribble down the court also if I am playing point guard I especially do that.

The topic is making connections and Michael Jordan makes connections Back in 1984, Vaccaro convinced Nike to reach a deal with NBA rookie, Jordan. They offered him a 15-million dollar, five-year contract and created the now iconic Air Jordan brand that is how he made a connection with a brand not many had heard of at the time but now rules the sneaker community.

Micheal Jordan is one of the best basketball players Michael Jordan appears to be a determined person, a perfectionist. He has to overcome many obstacles to reach the peak in his sport so he is one if not the best at his sport. In interviews he appears friendly and likeable. There was criticism of his ungrateful speech at the 2009 Hall of Fame, and he has passed evidence of gambling addictions.

The charecters are Starr carter and Kenya, Mr.Lewis so far The Hate U Give explores the relationship between race and identity as Starr struggles to make the primarily black world of Garden Heights and the primarily white world of Williamson Prep. she tries to bring them together as the people of
Garden heights and Williamson prep do not like each other.

Kobe Bryant is the dynamic character he has became an NBA player He is sad because he took the final shot to bring them to the finals but he missed the shot. Over the off season he because taller. He even grew out his hair and now they are saying that he is better than Micheal Jordan. He got bigger faster and stronger.

Kobe Bryant leads the story he was getting scouts worried that he was gonna be a bust. They all thought that he should go now because the opportunity might go away. He had the money and the life guaranteed right now so he took it and he went straight to the NBA.

Such a good book. The coach has given a speech when they made it to the semi finals on how Kobe it doing everything and the other teammates are not doing. What they are supposed to be he called the speech"the cancer in me". He was saying if they are going to win the finals game they need to step up. He said "Kobe is doing everything you guys are not and more" (Matt Christoper pg. 45).

good so far I got to when Kobe is in high school win and he is worried because he needs to win this game. But he is holding himself back from reaching his potential because he is worried that he wont win the game he is going against the best team who always wins and then at half time goes crazy having 26 points in one half.

So far it is a great book, it tell's the reader how Kobe moved to Italy and at first it was hard for him but then he adjusted. It also tells the reader how they moved out there because he left the NBA to go play in that league. so, as Kobe was finally set out there they moved back to the united states. He was the new kid with a funny way of speaking and he was challenged in a 1v1 by the best player at the school.

It was lacking a little bit of detail I feel like they could have put a little more into the book. But anyway it was a good book and it had a lot of events the setting takes place at the basketball court. The main person / only person in the book is Micheal Jordan my favorite scene was when the book was showing Micheal Jordan waving the jazz by as he shot with the clock on 3 seconds as he sinks the 3 pointer.

Great book so far has a lot of facts about Micheal Jordan . He does a lot of crazy things for ex: when he goes up for a dunk or layup his tounge leads the way and how hew donates to charity and how he gave hid team a $1000 each out of the money that he got from from the dunk compatition. So it moslty shows the unique things he does making him sound like a great person which i think he is. So that is the what the book

it is finally getting better I just got to the first NBA player and I finished, the James Naismith part of the book. This book so far it about basketball history from the creator of basketball James Naismith, to when the NBA league has just started. I peeked to the end of the book which shows Karl Malone Micheal Jordan ext. I enjoy this book so far and I want to get the end already fro the good stuff.
