Interesting to learn that the ‘I must do better’ mindset is the antinomian spirit of the prodigal son who declares ‘I will be a hired servant of the Father’. But God shows his love for us by ‘slaughtering the fattest cows’ and preparing us a feast.

Chapter 8 was quite law heavy in some parts.

Did the enjoy the part on work/labour being a good thing that God has given to man (although corrupted by sin). We are to delight in our labour.
