We’re in the home stretch now folks

I feel maternal for Jane Eyre

The odyssey begins… I have to read this book before week 2 of uni which is going to be fun. Also why is this book genuinely a brick like houses could be built out of this 💀

Two thoughts at this point in the novel:

1. Is this the original enemies to lovers book??

2. How has Elizabeth Bennett not thought about it for two seconds and realised she is also in love with Mr. Darcy like she is CLEARLY down bad.

The Victorian era bickering is sending me already

This book is genuinely SO GOOD

“A man in a rumpled business suit shouts hoarsely at the soldiers, take off your masks, what have you got to hide?”

“The world saw what happened, the security forces fired live rounds into a peaceful demonstration and then hunted us down, everything has changed now.”

This book is terrifyingly prophetic.
