I’m reading this YA book because it’s the sequel to another book I read a few years ago and it’s truly unhinged. The main character got MAULED BY ALLIGATORS in the post-apocalypse and is still smiling and laughing??? Like diva I’d be dead already after the shit these guys have been through??

As I'm finishing this book, I'm left with a truly bizarre feeling. In the last 3 chapters alone, Lily has met with the man who ABUSED HER, has realised she IS PREGNANT, and has heard the line "now go get my baby and take her away from here so I can have some sex with my filthy rich husband," from her sister in law. I feel like I've been dragged across the emotional coals, and not in a good way. Send help please.

I did indeed have the flu, and I am blaming this book for it. My body physically shut down because of how bad this book was. WHY is the domestic violence plot point between Lily and Ryle so glossed over? Why do none of the characters behave like actual human beings? Why does it feel like I'm reading about alien automata? Colleen Hoover has a LOT to answer for...

A LOT to unpack here.
For one, this book is so bad I now have the Flu. I'm not saying those two events are related, but I'm not exactly saying they aren't.
For two, the first *spicy* scene in this book is SO badly written, I actually cannot understand how people willingly subject themselves to such drivel.
For three, I still am not over LILY BLOSSOM BLOOM writing to ELLEN FUCKING DEGENERES????

Several questions:
1. Why in god's name does Lily write her diary addressed to ELLEN DEGENERES??

2. Her flower shop idea sounds SO UGLY i'm sorry but what was Colleen thinking with that??

3. Can Ryle please keep it in his pants for 5 minutes like I don't need to know how badly he wants to fuck Lily EVERY TIME his name appears on the page??

Why is this bitch named LILY BLOSSOMS BLOOM what the fuck?? Insane first chapter.
