I fully understand FMC is a victim of abuse and whatnot but at this point in the book her new man is standing on all the toes and saying he needs to protect his people which a shifter should understand is necessary. especially her. she says "oh ur not my mate but lets run away" REALLY? Are you a dim witted damsel or a timid abuse victim who is slowly finding her courage? i cant tell...

So far the book is okay. It has the general shifter tropes and it seems the MFC is gearing to be a Mary Sue. The book touches on deep topics like abuse and trauma but it doesnt feel tasteless like a lot of fantasy romance tends to do. still waiting for the spiiiiice but so far so good.
