part 2 is a lot better than part 1. paula has a lot more going on than her mom

the writing is pretty but i’m having some trouble feeling invested. i want to miss my book when i put it down ya know?

i’m def liking it better now. still an insane amount of unnecessary jargon tho

really not a fan of this book. yes, exciting things are happening but i can’t stand the writing style

giving a similar vibe to The English Problem. the footnotes are unnecessary and the asterisks are TINY i keep missing them. idk i feel like there’s a lot of unnecessary stuff. however, i love the characters and am totally invested in the story. love me some magical realism!
