This book is very close to being a DNF for me. There is just TOO MUCH over explaining and spoon feeding going on in the writing. The author does not let readers make assumptions or infer character motives at all.
Not to mention the MC is already a massive pain. She is the stereotypical “I’m a naive foreigner”
