Probably going to DNF- let’s see

I’d never have chosen to read this if it wasn’t for book club. Reading it now..I feel justified in that. This author just isn’t for me I think.

Very descriptive and immersive and not in an annoying way, full cast audiobook, loving it

Started it wanting some background sound while I do housework but suddenly find myself even listening in the shower, damn.

The audiobook narration is really good.

The author inserting themself into the book and being overly descriptive of sometimes inconsequential things really breaks my focus from the story and feels like filler to compensate for lack of salient details.

Otherwise, there are interesting things so far, but I am nervous the author will run out of substance and give more filler.
