It’s been ten yearssss of trying to read the first 100 pages. Usually I can finish a 400 page book in 2 days. 😭 I’m so lost.

So eye opening, especially after this election. Had to return to the library partway through, so saving my place here. :)

“My smile had had enough of being trapped and spilled out, wide and brazen and messy, dripping everywhere. It soaked through my clothes and into my skin”

… just loving the effortlessly beautiful descriptions in this book so far!

DNF - it got dry and repetitive but I appreciated the overall concept that interpretation influences everyone’s theology.

DNF - 58 pages in and I’m just so bored. Way too much description of sitting in libraries looking at books, and I have no cares about the characters by chapter 6.
