Hmm... not sure about this. Chapter one was mostly a giant info dump on the world and the magic system, which is bad enough, but it wasn't even well explained, so I don't actually understand the magic system... 🙄

I tried, I did, but I can't connect with the characters, I'm not engaged with the story and I have no interest in reading.

I'm struggling with this one. It has rave reviews and is compared to The Priory of the Orange Tree, which I loved. It's well written. But I just can't seem to connect to it.

It began so well. I was enjoying it much more than Uprooted. But now it's stalled and it's confusing and I just don't care. Such a shame.
