I don't know if I am hating too much nowadays but I think I am getting tired of the MCs of books who interact negatively to one another outwardly but on the same page have them their thought describe how they are thinking about the others body in a manner alluding to possible sexual attraction.

I think I want hate first, then love, then lust, not "hate"/annoyance with insta-lust on top. 😔😔

The way Sciona is talking about Tommy and his people is such a hard thing to listen to. Like I know what the book is doing but as an African American WOMAN no less it’s truly pissing me off. Like you are talked down upon cuz you are a woman yet in the same breathe you talk down about Tommy’s people🤨. I need her to stop soon or I might need to put this book on pause for a while.
