Oliver pls don’t do it

For there are a great many ladies and gentlemen claiming to be out-and-out Christians, between whom and Mr Sikes’s dog there exist very strong and singular points of resemblance

Good-breading van Bet omdat “cannot bear to inflict upon a fellow-creature the pain of a direct and pointed refusal”

First chapter finished. Dickens writes beautifully and almost poetically. Especially the part: “They talked of hope and comfort. They had been strangers for too long” and “Oliver cried lustily. If he could have known that he was an orphan, left to the tender mercies of churchwardens and overseers, perhaps he would have cried even louder”.

Ik ben zo blij dat dit boek gewoon meteen begint met het verhaal ipv een aantal set the scene hoofdstukken

Belly wtf

Conrad-Laurel was a team I didn’t know I needed🥹

Shake it on like a man? Really?
I love you Laurel

I didn’t realise this when watching the series but it’s realistic the way things went: Con trying to solve it on his own, then Jere asking Belly to help bc they’re best friends (or at least that’s what they say), Belly joining bc of the way she feels about the boys and then them partying and feeling like they make logical choices and then eventually Laurel coming & fixing things. Also the fight. Props to Jen!
