i fear i walk reading israeli propaganda… also too much alluding like i get it but also i’ve seen it done more masterfully. the dialogue isn’t super convincing to me either… there is so much of it. timeline is hard to follow too

i give the prose 3 stars cause it hits sometimes and the premise is interesting cause my many kids i wonder how her curse works and why won’t she sign the will? why can’t she?

324. i finished this book to run from something. then i cried. happy tears. i didn’t love this book as much as heart the lover but now this memory is attached to it. writers and lovers for sure.

i see where her relationship with o is falling apart. also this last chapter about her mom and why she was drawn to s’s story was masterfully written. my heart has been racing since the top of the hour and somehow the emotion was so real it started racing again. to feel less than but crave it all anyways, idk if it’s also genius to feel two contradictory feelings

ah the boys being so involved breaks my heart and did we skip past the part where he said the L word??? screw adam! yay jennifer! silas my guy what is up with you?!???!!!!

it hurts me knowing she doesn’t know her horse (i do) and that these little boys want it to be her but it won’t. i think i wouldn’t allow myself to go to dinner knowing that is when a possibility but to be cautious and prudey and poor all your eggs in one basket does not make for an interesting character

this author makes me feel everything. i’m charmed by oscar, want silas to never leave to never be too far away, miss my mom, feel the shame my father has left me with, rage at the thought of being separated from something from a loved one, feel the deceit of knowing their must be an underlying motive. she is too good!!!!!!!!!

enduring is pointy and i’m surprised her sharp tongue got her in a date with a writer, although i know more than this books knows i know but alas i am charmed!

okay the prose i love so much is shining through!!! i felt swirled and wrapped in it all and the “you know *** still ******* right?” felt like a genuine punch in the gut but now things make more sense

books like these are difficult for me typically because they preach a spirituality that i struggle with and so when reading i cannot find myself immersed or feeling preached at but at the end of this book when walked through a prayer to find love and live in love, that did it for me because i truly believe there is nothing more beautiful and worthwhile than love. the best of this book was in those last few pages

classic sexual desire in her writing showing although sometimes idk maybe characters need their private thoughts too lmaoo. i could not be bothered to finish my other book rn i needed a story to get lost in but this character struggles with the same guilt shame and stubborn sadness im tryna escape. reading about her walking home and noticing the couples and her grief with her mom and love… yeah too real slow rn tho

i am not as entranced as i was with htl and sometimes when i’m reading there is so much detail i lose myself in other thoughts whereas htl had me completely engrossed by this point. curious to read more about casey although idk the time line feels off and who is luke… ig it’s hard to think about her other loves. the part about her feeling sad for herself got me and the restaurant dynamic is cool but people suck

always do your best was the best chapter. it was inspiring and made change and fulfillment seem so easy

i liked the part about how you should find someone who you love as is and who averts you as is, it makes the relationship work. i think most of this book is not resonating with me but that post felt like a light bulb

i liked the part that talked about how people take what others say to heart because they are scared. i think i take everything personally because i am afraid what they are saying hold some truth but rly i am not that important

reading this book to cross off my reading journal but already thinking it will probably not be for me

his best work was done within the last few pages but overall idk the story fell really short for me… like nothing happened sorry mr green i rly do admire you

the drinking of alcohol really shows how these intrusive thoughts affect her but i wonder if john green knew more about cdiff like how often it only affects immunocompromised people or older people if he would have made sza fear it. idk as a nurse i don’t fear it

sometimes i just have to roll my eyes because a good message gets lost in teenager corniness but maybe i have aged out. i thought this book would be more detectivey. daisy is a bad friend. or maybe aza is really hard to love. even if she was that’s not how you go about it. she basically did what she said she wouldn’t. and somehow in the midst of all of this i thought about isaac and cried… not rlly relevant

got me feeling like i outgrew john green …..

the story is just a bit too unbelievable from davies texting her out of the blue like that, to their sudden romance to the details of his house. what is she to do with the money?? how old are they again lmaoo. so much allusions to sex and even candid conversations about duck pics it all makes me a little uneasy and uncomfy

i think this reward is gonna mess up the budding love because mr boy is gonna feel betrayed. i feel like im starting to understand ocd in a way not typically displayed

some of the dialogue is so… unbelievable and kinda cringe

6/25 i see what they mean about the mental health representation excited for new john green

any book with violence against women hurts. and the ending was anticlimactic in a way, everything resolved within 1 and a 1/8 pages but still a compelling read. nostalgia has its dangers
