Something BIG is happening here. The silver hair, the mind reading without the bonds - there’s a deeper connection at play. Chapter 38 had me on edge, and of course, Yarros breaking our hearts again 💔 And Violet? She was chosen by Tairn for a reason. At some point, she’s going to have to fully step up - not just in this quest, but in general. It can’t all fall. Chapters 38 and 39 have absolutely wrecked me.

How’s the book? Holy cow. Well, so far this book is taking me on a wild ride! Andarna’s teenage sass is everything and the emotional whiplash is real. I had a feeling not all venin would be bad, and Theophanie sparing Vi and Garrick just proves there’s more to the story - why, though?! And of course, Papa Aetos is still a dick, but I’ve got him pegged as venin on my bingo card. Let’s see how that pans out.
