Part 3 - the final stretch.

The subject matter is heavy and uncomfortable, but it’s a surprisingly bingeable book. I’m already over 100 pages in. Hard to say how I feel about it yet though.

Surprisingly bingeable.

It’s nonfiction, and introspective, but I would voluntarily read Han Kang’s grocery list so - a win is a win. New Han Kang in 2026!!

Loved Lonely Castle in the Sky so I have a good feeling about this one.

A little predictable so far, and still pushing myself to finish - but I have hope that the ending is going to blow me away.

Hitting a bit of a slump plot-wise. Writing is still beautiful.

I’ve missed the quiet ease of reading a Korean novel. There’s something comforting about experiencing someone else’s doldrums and ennui.

Okay definitely going to finish this tomorrow… I’m excited to see how it ends.

Hmmm… my interest is wavering. I’m not sure I like the pacing of the novel. It’s quite slow and there’s not enough action/drama happening in either of the main characters’ POVs to keep me hooked. Hopefully the plot thickens soon because I really don’t want to DNF another book.

Trying my very hardest to be more consistent with my reading. Hoping this book gets me out of my reading slump.
