Excited about this one. Got it through BOTM and it won the Lolly Award in 2025. The edition I have came with a bookmark where part of it includes seeds for planting. Very on theme. Excited.

There’s somebody for everybody? Rip.

From the get go, i didn’t like the main character and when thinking about the family… just thought why?? Why would you tolerate this behavior? Why would continue to let it go on for so long? Why would you bring him into your home and life without more research into this guy? Reads like a true crime, though.

The plot finally started thickening by page 163. Low key that’s a lot of pages of character building. Now that I’m in it, I know it’ll be easier to read and finish quickly.

My next book is already in queue.

I’m finally deep into it and I like it. At first it was hard to remember who was who bc you are following 3 mother daughter duos and a the sister of a missing girl. The moms all knew each other in high school and the daughters are all friends. But once you’re into the groove, it’s a good suspenseful story.

The more I read this book, the more I see why they cast Ryan Gosling as Dr. Ryland Grace. Obvi i haven’t seen it yet so idk how it turned out, but knowing a lot of his previous works.. he’s genuinely perfect for the role.

I promise I’m studying. I’m just reading during my study breaks and I am BLOWING through this book. Some could even say propelled by astrophage lol

The book is SO much better than the movie. The stories of the trips aren’t even the same in the movie. It’s like a mish-mosh of the book. It’s rearranged. But the book… chefs kiss!

Wow. I just read for 2hrs and didn’t realize. I was locked in!! Time to be productive.

So far much better than the movie. The movie had to many gaps in the storyline that really were iykyk.

I am really liking this book. It’s the first Reese’s Book Club pick I’ve read and low key… am looking forward to next months pick. I had no idea what it will be about when i started, but this a fantastic historical fiction book. And perfect for June, where we celebrate Juneteenth.
