Interesting stories about many famous and ultra wealthy women. A lot of tragedy for most of them - money did not buy happiness. Many brand names that everyday Americans are familiar with and the stories of the families that originated these companies.

So far I’m enjoying it. Sometimes hard to relate to. Amazes me how much money people will spend in high end restaurants. Interesting though.

Truly interesting read about the Isle of Harris in the 1970’s. I wish the author had used actual place names, but even without that, I could picture this taking place on Harris and perhaps some of Lewis. Nothing is very connected. These are vignettes of a memory. But totally delightful of times gone by.
