I was a bit wary going into this. Being funny and heartfelt on a TV show doesn’t necessarily translate into print, or in this case, audio. But it’s SO enjoyable and much deeper than I expected. It deals with a lot of issues like body image, parents’ divorce, and sexual assault along with all the expected lighthearted stuff.

Gah, right in the feels! This is a re-read so I knew what was coming but even so. *Insert sadface emoji for poor Graham*

Ok, I know he’s a sweetheart and he means well; but the whole showing up unannounced thing makes me want to throttle Blake. Maybe it’s the Scandinavian in me, but you do not show up for a visit unannounced unless you’ve been told it’s cool. And even then you text beforehand. 😆

Re-reading. One of my all-time favorites!

This might be too “clean” for me. They’ve been married for weeks and still have only kissed once. It’s like their separate bedrooms aren’t even an issue. I get wanting to write a “clean” romance but when you have a married couple who are obviously attached to each other and they don’t even *think* about consummating their union, that’s just unrealistic and kind of weird. Sorry. 🤷🏻‍♀️

This is great so far. I like the descriptions of the seaside and both characters are compelling! 👍

Ugh, Jacob is the worst. "Maybe you want me to die. Better kiss me to convince me not to go commit suicide by newborn." You suck, dog!

Jacob tells Charlie that Bella hurt her hand because he kissed her against her will. And his response is “Good for you, kid!” What the actual fuck. From her father. From a COP?! 🤬Ugh!

Charlie is acting like a child. And Jacob is being annoying. So far, not my favorite anymore. Personal growth? Lol. 😄

I remember this being my favorite of all the books but not why exactly. 😅 Let’s see if it’s held up for me. Audio again. Same great narrator.

Volterra! And if you thought my 40-year-old self didn’t squeak in delight like a teenager at E & B’s reunion, you’d be wrong. 😆

This is actually better than I remembered. Jacob is a really good friend to Bella and Charlie finally stepped up and is behaving like the parent in the family. :) I also enjoy the true sense of family in the wolf pack. Don’t get me wrong, I still look forward to Edward getting back on the scene but I don’t have the urge to fast-forward (audiobook)

Listening to the audiobook for the first time. Great narrator! But Bella sure is self-deprecating and her parents are absolute trash, to be honest. That’s probably why she can’t believe anyone would want her around. It’s her birthday and Charlie seems happy to be rid of her so he can watch a ballgame on TV. Tsk tsk.

This is starting to feel like grading papers. My eyes can't ignore the errors. The plot is pretty good, though. Not terribly original, but I can see why readers like King.

I don't know, man. Maybe I've seen too many people rave about this and gotten my hopes up for something truly epic? I'm not really feeling it. I mean, it's a good story so far, but it's nothing out of the ordinary.

Usually, politics will put me to sleep, but this is a wonderful story of forbidden love and the political parts are only minor.
