Another lovely, light read. Oh to be my cousin’s wingwoman, all finely dressed.

What a delight it is Curdie has such a sharp mind with him.

Pg. 105 - I am slightly under halfway through this book and I am enjoying it thoroughly! This presents such a clever twist, embroidering many fairy tales in a refreshing way.

Summer reading club 📖 Thomas listened through this with me as my turn for our book chpice, but it is 3x shorter than what we just read for his book choice. So we are reading another book together before moving to his turn to choose a book. 🤭

I really enjoy the illustrations!

Very interesting background from mary’s perspective. Weird love triangles. Not about it.

Scathing.
“Only one of her daughters had failed her. Mary had made the mistake of inheriting neither the looks nor the charm shared by all other members of the Bennet family.
This was a sin for which, in Mrs. Bennet’s eyes, there could be no forgiveness, as Mary discovered.”

Reading this on our roadtrip! I enjoy it but I keep falling asleep… that’s my bad.

It has taken me a bit longer to get through reading this book, but I am loving the relationship between Curdie and his parents. So sweet!

Another book club read! I feel a little more rounded going into this one after brushing up on some Greek mythology summaries.
