It was super sweet, and a little sad. We’ve now reached the disturbing and morally dubious part of the story. Hopefully our young protagonist redeems himself.

I’m remembering why I rarely read non-fiction.

It started out good, but just like with the real royal family, I’m finding myself getting bored. Where are the moral tests and challenges. I’m realizing the crux of this book isn’t about her finding herself after a life altering event. It’s the revelation of her big secret. The details of her past string out across the course of the book. But the more I read the less I care to know.

It’s very dense, and everything’s rotting.

I love a time loop story! And this one surprised me. A beautiful love story, but also a story about power and nation building, and the power of stories to a sense of identity. It was sexy too! Throughly enjoyed this one.

It was ok. I couldn’t tell if the author made all of his characters ridiculous on purpose or if he was writing them that way in earnest. Either way, it wasn’t farcical enough to be funny and the characters weren’t charming enough for me to care. I found the main character particularly unappealing. The adventures of a foolish, entitled, white guy in a foreign country was not a fun read.
