Daylan’s death was heartbreaking. The passage about not properly remembering the last time she saw him but recalling a fond memory was beautifully written. The scene with her dad - I knew it was coming - the anger was perfectly written

I will say this is the first sally rooney book I’ve read but I have watched normal people and Alice & Eileen feel like a combination of the lead there. With Alice being the weird girl who lets men walk all over here and Eileen’s off again on again long love. I guess these are tropes for a reason but..

I thought this book would be my entry back into romance bc I was eating it up and sacrificing sleep but once I got to this scene I think my entire perspective changed. What caused Felix to be so nasty?? he sucks imo.
