Antagonist: The antagonist of my book is sort of Cam. Cam is, or was Belly's boyfriend. I think that he was the antagonist, because he sort of was the opposing side. Belly only thought she liked Cam, but really she didn't. All she wanted to do was get her mind off of Conrad. She soon realizes that Conrad was the only one she loved. Jeramiah, Conrad's brother, had feelings for Belly, but she rejects him.

Making Connections: One connection that I've made with my book is the way I feel about someone. Like Belly, I have experienced having a crush on someone, or loving someone, when thinking they do not feel the same way. The world has also made connections with Belly, because almost everyone in the world has once loved someone, or currently does.

Supporting Characters: The supporting Characters of my book are Susannah and Laurel, Belly's mom. Susannah is Belly's moms best friend. She is like her second mom, and she treats her as her own daughter. Belly is in a relationship right now with a guy named Cam. She doesn't know what to think about him, but she thinks he's very nice. Both of them help Belly through this and explain that it is okay.

Supporting Characters: One of the minor Characters in my book is Cam. Cam is Belly's new boyfriend. She met him in an 8th grade science project. I think that he's a good influence on her, because he treats her well. He just went to Belly's house, and they had a lot of fun. I think the author included Cam in this book, to show that he noticed her, even before she turned pretty.

The 7 Story Archetypes: Quest is getting to the boardwalk, when they don't have a ride. The overcoming of the monster is when Steven leaves to go on a trip with his dad. Rags to Riches is when Taylor comes for the summer. Rebirth is when Belly realizes that she should treasure this summer. Voyage is when Conrad starts acting differently. Comedy is when they play in the pool. Tragedy is Taylor not acknowledging Belly.

Conflict: The conflict in my story is that Belly misses her dad after her parents divorce, and she loves visiting him, but she just doesn't like his apartment. She loves visiting her mom's best friend, and her sons at their beach house in the summer though. She doesn't really like when he dad or the sons' dads visit, because she just feels like they don't belong their, and her brother feels the same way.

Visualize: Every summer, Belly goes to the beach house with her family and her mom's best friends family. Conrad, her mom's best friend's son invites her to a carnival with him. She liked him.But Once they get there, she realizes he only took her so that he didn't go alone. There was this other girl that Conrad appeared to have interest in. I Visualize the terrible feeling that Belly feels, and the smell of popcorn.

Characterization: Massie feels overwhelmed, because she feels that everyone is growing up faster then her. They are dating, shopping more, and just overall having more fun than she is. She feels that she will never be like them and that this will never change. She tries her best to fit in, but nothing works. She says that she does the same stuff they do, but really she doesn't. She thinks she will never fit in.

Inciting incident: The inciting incident in my book is when Matilda starts to live with her maid, Eliza. This is because after she starts living there, everything starts to change, leading to other things. For example, Matilda starts to hear some people might know where her mother is. She also finds out that her grandfather dies. However, all of this stuff happens after she starts to stay with Eliza and her family.

The 7 Story Archetypes: In my book, the topic that I think matches this is, Rebirth. Matilda's Grandfather just died, her watching it all happen, and her mother is missing. Her father died when she was young. She is in an epademic, and she lost all her family and is now staying with her maid, Eliza. Matilda becomes a much stronger person after all of this happened, because she is practically alone.

In my book, Matilda is all alone. Her grandfather just died and her mother is lost. Her maid Eliza soon finds her and brings her to her house. Eliza lives with her brothers family. Her brothers wife just died so he is very sad. One character that isn't very nice is Eliza's grandmother. When Eliza brings Matilda in the house, she questions her and asks if she has to feed Matilda, in a rude way, then walks away rudely.

In my book, Matilda's Grandfather just died, and her mother is very sick. She is very sad, and can hardly process what's going on. Something running through my mind while reading this, is the assumption that Matilda is crying. Proof of this is on page 147 it says" My face was wet, my tears splashing onto my cheeks." After that, a man comes by their house with several other people, screaming for Matilda to come out.

MAKE CONNECTIONS: In my book, a lot of people are getting sick with yellow fever. Matilda's mother is very sick, and they will not let her leave with Matilda and her grandfather to get away from everyone, so they don't get sick too. One connection my book has to the world is COVID. With the yellow fever, it only affected one area, while COVID affected the whole world.

Characterization: The characterization of my book is, Matilda's grandfather is at the hospital with her, and even though he doesn't like to be around sick people, because he thinks it's gross, and feels uncomfortable, he still stays. Proof of this is on page 108 it says" Grandfather looked in on me several times a day. I think he was uncomfortable being around the sick."

Antagonist: The antagonist of my book is Matilda. Her dad died and left only her mom, grandpa, and herself. Her mom was never the same after her dad died. They are in a war and her mom has a yellow fever. Matilda and her grandpa have to leave without her mom because you are not allowed to leave if you have yellow fever. Matilda's grandpa is also sick now, and they're staying in the woods until he gets better.

My book is historical fiction. I know this, because the book isn't real, but is based on something that happened in real life. In my book, there are a lot of people with the yellow fever, but there is not enough people to call it an epademic. Matilda's mother is sick, but doesn't have yellow fever, and the doctor doesn't know what it is.

STATIC vs. DYNAMIC: In my book, I think that the main character, Matilda, is both static and dynamic. Sometimes she fixes her problems, while other times she doesn't. One example is that her mother is very strict, and she doesn't really do anything about it. I know that she is her mother, but I do think there are some ways to make her a little less strict. Another example is that her father died, and she is very sad.

ASK QUESTIONS: Matilda lives with her mother, and grandfather. Her father died because he fell of a ladder and broke his neck. Ever since he died, her mother has been very strict. Her mother will not let her go to the market by herself, and the question I have is, why? She is old enough to go places by herself, so I am a bit confused on why she won't let her go.

PROTAGONIST: The protagonist of my story is Jenna. Her parents are divorced, and she only sees her dad on weekends, so this means she can never hangout with friends, because her dad lives far away and she doesn't see him very much. On a Friday, she fakes sickness, and then pretends to have recovered so that she can go to a party with her friends. The party wasn't very fun and she was caught by her mom.

PREDICTION: In my book, Alex is on the school's soccer team and she hurt her ankle. Now, a lot of people know her that she doesn't even know. She is making a ton of new friends because of this. She thinks this girl named Cindy did it to her, and on purpose. Everyone says that's not true. My prediction id that everyone will find out that it was on purpose. I also think that Alex will loose her " popularity".

The conflict in my book is that Alex was tripped by Cindy while playing soccer. Cindy claims that it was an accident. Alex does not think it is and she think that Cindy did it purposely, because Alex is younger than Cindy and she thinks she is more controlling because she is older. The type of conflict in my book is character vs character.
