Chapter 16: (8) omg it’s giving Joel from The Last of Us when he was up against two (or three?) guys and he ruined one guy’s knee by shooting it and asking questions he needed the answers from 👀 (love my TLOU era 😔)

Chapter 13: (5) Is he going to leave with her and be a “found family”? But she has a mom, and she’s in college, so probably not

Chapter 13: (3) he helped out a raped teenage girl during rain, took her in; I’m crying 😭 this was really hard to read, because the way he wrote made the picture clear

Chapter 12: (1) “who heals their promises? Bad people” OMG HE’S GOING TO KILL THEM ALL

Chapter 10: I thought assassination was going to happen at the end of of the book!! So what now??

Chapter 8: ooh, he’s getting connected to the family 🥹

he also almost blew his cover by shooting a bit too good

also, his life story is very sad - it’s so cool that Billy’s writing style is so different from Stephen’s; you can really see the difference in proficiency

Chapter 7:
(3) Necer expected to see “6 or 7” in a Stephen King’s book, but here we are I guess

Ps I know the book much older than the trend, but idc

Chapter 5: also really liked how he compares writing a book with taking off clothes, show yourself (and your soul) bare, and for the first time he feels powerful not because of holding a gun, but expressing himself, his thoughts, doubts and fears

Chapter 5: really like descriptions of a life of a hit man - what he does, buys, rents, how he comes up with alter egos- King writes that well: puts a lot of meaning in short sentences
