This is a cozy Christmas romance perfect for a snowy night and a cup of cocoa. Our main characte, Lumi has just found out her son won't be coming home for Christmas this year, for thr first time and she's feeling a little heartbroken.

Started out with the book then got it on audible. Going to do a read with the book and narration.

So far so good. Samantha saw her father kill a local boy when she was young. After that her father killed himself. Her grandfather never believed that he had done that. When her grandfather dies Sam inherited Paynes Hollow which is valued at millions. The only catch? She has to stay there for a month. Sam's mother is sick and she can't afford her care so the chance to get the money is too good.

Our main is called The Daughter of the House of Leviathan at the beginning of the story. She's a theif that makes ends meet by stealing religious artifacts with her magic.

Before starting this book I will preface with one truth. I love zombie books, dystopian, apocalyptic; anything end of the world is right up my alley so I am very much looking forward to this book!

Oh my goodness. This book. 6 stars?? Maybe. I'm listening to it at 2.5x to try and listen faster cuz I'm dying to know what happened.

This is a post apocalyptic romance. It has themes including; enemies to lovers, forced proximity, shared past, trauma bond romance. Over all I am enjoying it, one of my favorite ever genes in apocalyptic and dystopia books, something in me just loves a book about the End of the the world. What that says about me, I'm not sure but I'm going to keep reading them!

Audiobook on audible. This feels like a 5 star. Second one in a row!! Hopefully I'm on a 5 star streak! .
This is a beautiful story, poetic in the way its written. I love the premise of the female characters cursed to live in the present while "remebering" another time. I just got to the part where June goes through the door and discovers she's been there before but this is her first time for her present self.

This is a dark academia novel that honestly took me a bit ti get fully immersed in.

I'm still loving this. Listening on audible. Love the narrator and the pacing is keeping me engaged. I'm still not sure how the story is going to end which is a great thing. I hate when the story is predictable.

Sapphic romance horror? Ok. The world building in this book is genuinely spooky. I could picture the bath house in my head with the amount of detail the author gave. However, while reading this I started getting Silent Hill vibes. The whole underground fire and people having to move was just reminiscent of that movie. I'm not done yet so we'll see if I love or hate this book.

The more I read the more tropes I realize I could assign to this. Found family; with each of the 7 sins as siblings. Family drama, slow burn with Saer and Neyu fighing to not connect with each other, fearing the devils jealousy. A delicious take on the original origin story

Do you listen to the devil or to your heart? Saer has to chose not only this but also has to discover what it means to be human. The writing is lovely and I really enjoyed the atmospheric descriptions of the hellscape as well as the picture into how hell came into being. You can see what is happening and link it to modern day lore surrounding Hell.

Lucifer is not my favorite character. Finding the key to keeping him hearty and hale made me wince. I'm still at the beginning but I hope we find a way to make a happily ever after...

A fresh take on a tale as old as time itself. We meet Saer; freshly made and a female demon, Neyu. They know they belong to each other, but Lucifer is a jealous master.
The writing and storyline immediately pulled me in. I love that in a book, if it doesn't immediately hook me and I have to force myself to read then what's the point? However when a book immediately grabs hold and sinks its claws in? Love it.

BoTM audible pick. I'm loving it so far. Sort of a take on snow white when the kings daughter is being poisoned.
