The romance in this second novel is UNMATCHED compared to the first. It’s so good!! This trope is being executed very well, and I’m so happy

I’m liking the romance between Ione and Elm more than Ravyn and Elspeth. Maybe Rachel Gillig took the feedback on the rushed romance last novel, and made things better for book two.
