Wow this is was better than I imagined. First I love the pacing, the lack of filler is refreshing and I'm hooked on the story. the book looks like erotica but I'm half way in and this is the first actually sex scene. I already order another book by the author

I read half of this book in a few hours. my intial thoughts were good but the more I think about it the lower the star rating drops. why am I reading about black suffering from a white man who really has no commentary on the matter? why is nobody experiencing character growth? you don't get a cookie for acknowledging racism existed when all this book does is push the white saviour narrative and sideline black charact
