Jules Doll is on page 49 of 192 of The Whole Animal
I'm enjoying having this short story anthology in my bag to pull out when I only have a few spare moments here and there or read myself a bedtime story :3 There's a common theme to all stories so far of animals with a slight eerie tone. I'm curious to see if any or all will link to each other in the end. Oh! and I think it's cool to be reading something I bought in my hometown, from an author in my hometown :p

I loovee the concept! But the delivery is a lil rough for me... I wish it had been written from Marcos pov, I think that would have given the characters more depth and ability to relate. So far it's feeling like facts are just being told and listed rather than the reader experiencing them happen. But I really like the concept and am eager to see how it all plays out!

Jules Doll is on page 210 of 280 of Love Letters: Virginia Woolf and Vita Sackville-West
As I read, the yearning only becomes more devastating because rather than growing more intimate, time dwindles their love, and I know inevitable war and death are only getting nearer and nearer to put an end to their affectionate letters that I've come to love so much...

Jules Doll is on page 130 of 370 of Neverwhere (London Below, #1)
This is my first Neil Gaiman novel since I read Coraline as a child (I've lately been immersed in his short stories) and I'm reminded of how much I love his writing style, narrative voice, and world building! However, I'm a little confused... there are a lot of characters to keep track of so far and it flips back and forth between them a lot. That being said though, the setting is making my London yearning UNREAL!!!

Jules Doll is on page 132 of 291 of What I Was Doing While You Were Breeding
There are mixed reviews on this book and some problematic language but overall so far I am enjoying it, I think because of the time of my life I'm in myself. It's giving me the courage to live the life I desire and be open to experiences that fall before me.

I wish I read this before reading Voung... It's poetic and I think I would have appreciated the artistry more if my heart hadn't been haunted by Voung's prose first... I'm only into the first couple chapters though so I will continue on and try to keep a noncomparative open mind :) I've heard good things about this book!

I can't believe Voung's control and manipulation for the English language, it's just absolutely beautiful. After almost every line I had to pause and just breathe to take in "he actually just wrote that, wow..." I would carry this book around with me to the ends of the earth, as my own personal bible. Caution to those who are now intrigued to read: I have the most profound emotional hangover I have ever experienced

Slow going because of school and I often only sit down for a letter or two at a time. Now that exams are pretty well over, I can read from my own tbr to my hearts content
