Sulla and Marius are batshit (hell yeah). Other than their story the first half of the book can be a bit dry sometimes. Really loved reading the second half, around the time when Pompey started getting some clout. Never knew Caesar and Cleopatra were a thing. Interesting book for someone who knew absolutely nothing about the fall of Rome, even though people criticize Hollands factuality.
