Wow Tom is a real asshole

This is … not great and reads like a first draft

Halfway through and still waiting for something interesting to happen

Thoughts at around 60%: the descriptive writing is great but I don’t really care about the characters and the backstory scenes are rather boring.

Pretty sure I’ve figured out what’s going on, or at least a big part of it.

Oof. Really struggling here. So much backstory infodumping happening. I had hoped that would subside once we got to know the characters, but now we’re being introduced to new characters and the infodumping is starting afresh.

It doesn’t make sense that Charlotte would be involved in this case. She was Molly’s lawyer.

I have a new theory…

I’ve loved this book so far, but it’s starting to feel a little far-fetched. His publisher’s lawyer already said you can’t copyright a plot, and it seems like it would be easy for him to produce drafts and notes proving that he wrote the book. Why not just release his own statement acknowledging that he got the plot from a former student who then died?

Definitely a page turner, but there’s one thing that’s bothering me, which I hope will be explained.
