The sadness of angels....

The inclusion of the Battle of Waterloo was a surprise yet gave a greater depth to what made France fall like Rome after its own defeat....

To now return to little Corsette... it's hard to not feel the true sadness weigh on your heart... this book knows how to convey emotions.

An enjoyable visual read and consumption, I feel this is a beautiful gift to pass onward again and again from person to person.

This is a beautifully written book, it has made me happy, feel such shock, horror and sadness, this is emotional.

Somehow I’ve never read J.R.R Tolkiens work on Sir Gawain and the Green Knight, a beautiful story studied and written by a legend of world building…

so let us cast back to times of old and fair Arthur King ruled over the land…

Am I holding off the last puzzle to count this book for next year’s goal…. Pfft…. I don’t know what you’re on about…

Returning to the sequel I believe this to be an enjoyable series! I fully recommend this as we immediately jump into action with EPIC action just around the corner!

A close friend gifted me this and after thoroughly enjoying the first few puzzles, I'm now having to deduce more as they have already got harder!

Just like all legends… there will come a time when they must end… so naturally I want to know what eventually happens to Holmes.

I read this book over 20 years ago and it became the series I grew up with, let’s see what its like nowadays

This is highlighting the sad and dark varieties of narcissism but also providing support in dealing with it

This was a gift from a meaningful individual, let’s use this to celebrate and find opportunities

It’s essentially a normal Holmes with extra history… mystery… and probable betrayal

This feels like a form of torture reading this… I see all the parts happening in slow motion like a car crash that never ends… I’m frustrated by the people pleasing of the main character… so in a way… it’s well written 😂

Since the “Final Problem” I am lucky enough not needing to wait until the return of our illustrious hero Holmes.

Fun Fact: The public mourned for 12 years until his return, some people even wore black armbands in mourning! ..so much so to the Sherlockians.. this period is known as the Great Hiatus! How fun!

A re-read but enjoyable

These seem rather easy to enjoy… The Adventure of the Yellow Face is by far my most favourite Holmes adventure so far

Did you know there is a Society of Sherlock Holmes? The Sherlockians!

Fun Fact: Stephen Fry joined the society at the age of 12!

A recommendation from a friend who's dealt with narcissists and manipulators - so far the tsunami analogy and situationship immediately got me agreeing with the author.

I was lucky to meet Lauren at a summer book party of all things and she completely sold me on her book, a comedy of sorts where people pleasing only gets the main protagonist into a worse situation! And a comedy?!

I'm certainly enjoying the multiple mini-stories (cases) that this illustrious duo are taking, it's refreshing to enjoy such well crafted little wonders.

So far the Scandal in Bohemia was fun and the Adventure of the Red-Headed League had me laughing alongside our dynamic duo!

Imagine the illustration style of Tintin.. an illustrative comic... with facts... history... and all things sex! How scandalous for Goodreads!

This was loaned as a comedy read... you know who you are!
