I thought this book that is set 10 years after the trilogy could be slow to start….

I’m reminded that Pierce Brown isn’t afraid to deal you emotional trauma.

Katherine has strong opinions on this book... this dystopian plot told in an abuse of language has me curious. I also want to watch the movie!

The novelty has moments of fun yet the amount of enabling by others is heavy!

Also this feels like two books stitched together, the sequel not being as good as the original....

Old English is fun and this tale I love.

So far I have laughed and smiled yet occasionally it suddenly hits you with a good thought or idea that has no right to be there that I'm left thinking this book is comedic and clever!

Fun Fact: the highest trainline in the world Qinghai-Tibet (in China) provides an oxygen supply for every passenger seat!

For a 400 year old book… this is proving very funny!

The battle of the two armies… just marvellous :P

There is something Monty Python'esk about this... an elderly man in his 50s who love all things knights and chivalry decides to become an adventuring knight in the South of Spain... this seems comedic!

This could easily be our future... a dark warning... a world where we ask who and what is real? And is what is infact fake... is it real?

Also... the poor real cat...

I see this being finished fast...

I think I may now try to make a wooden spoon... or spatula...

After the ending of the second book…it is good to return to this series… but can it stick the landing?

I can understand why this might be long for some as it does enjoy a deep dive into many things...

That being said, I did not expect certain aspects that continue to bring surprises of little forms of happiness knowing darkness and sadness is soon to crush you.

So far it is a boy hunting for enlightenment, let us see where this takes him.

I was gifted this a very long time ago... lets give this an enjoyable read

A wonderful word when given in optimism.

This book brings you to the people of France, to walk their streets, see and smell what they dealt with...

And throughout this... our fated characters ..how they interweave and reconnect... it borders the convenient …bordering the word fated.

The sadness of angels....

The inclusion of the Battle of Waterloo was a surprise yet gave a greater depth to what made France fall like Rome after its own defeat....

To now return to little Corsette... it's hard to not feel the true sadness weigh on your heart... this book knows how to convey emotions.

An enjoyable visual read and consumption, I feel this is a beautiful gift to pass onward again and again from person to person.

This is a beautifully written book, it has made me happy, feel such shock, horror and sadness, this is emotional.

Somehow I’ve never read J.R.R Tolkiens work on Sir Gawain and the Green Knight, a beautiful story studied and written by a legend of world building…

so let us cast back to times of old and fair Arthur King ruled over the land…

Am I holding off the last puzzle to count this book for next year’s goal…. Pfft…. I don’t know what you’re on about…

Returning to the sequel I believe this to be an enjoyable series! I fully recommend this as we immediately jump into action with EPIC action just around the corner!

A close friend gifted me this and after thoroughly enjoying the first few puzzles, I'm now having to deduce more as they have already got harder!

Time to read about a living legend and a dapper gent…
