I saw this as a recommended read/listen for those having Red Rising withdrawals…

In the first few interactions (audiobook) a guard said “Bast**d” like Sean Bean and it bodes well…

I needed this. A good laugh or two!

This may answer some unanswered questions from the first book... I chuckled at the poor Lion who fell into depression after having an identity crisis as his only character trait was fixed by the wizard.

Let's see what this has to say! I only read half of this years ago, lets try again!

Page 4: I’m already laughing!

This is overwhelmingly sad, the writing is so beautiful, innocent, naïve and yet so devastating in its nature... you ultimately know the result.

This book was given to the management team as homework from our Managing Director, they read it, promised changes...

...a year later I feel for research purposes I'll give this a read...

Aha! Emotional damage. I need a weekend break from this.

This is a very easy and thought provoking read, I feel so honoured to read so many well written books recently!

This may he the best book in the series… it’s been a rollercoaster so far… potentially an easy 5 stars… lets hope it ends without an evil cliffhanger!!

I spoke to someone last week that made me fearful for the future and it also reminded me of this book...

I know this will be sad.

So far this reads enjoyably like a fiction with a future potential for a movie, the bold actions taken and the reality of deceit and malice makes what ultimately happen feel like a dark poem and potential warning to others... I'm also seeing another side to my uncle I never expected so that's fun...

I'm fearful the final book is not out and I only have a book and half left until I'm waiting...patiently... potentially damaged... potentially hopeful for this final book... yet one thing is for sure... I'm wholly terrified emotionally to what conclusion this series could have...

And it got dark....

Returning to Darrow feels like meeting an old friend... I've been warned this is the grittiest and darkest book in the series... we'll see how it goes!

Time to return to a war torn emotional rollercoaster that is this series…

The audiobook for this is wonderfully fun, the narrator reminds me of Basil from Austin Powers of all people!

Also what is this crazy world! Some very bold world building!

I've decided I'll eventually gift this to my MD...

There is something about this story that plucks the soul for me, a happier tale, a hopeful journey

Some needed escapism

I read this back during university and I have completely forgotten it... so lets give this a re-read!

I thought this book that is set 10 years after the trilogy could be slow to start….

I’m reminded that Pierce Brown isn’t afraid to deal you emotional trauma.

Katherine has strong opinions on this book... this dystopian plot told in an abuse of language has me curious. I also want to watch the movie!

The novelty has moments of fun yet the amount of enabling by others is heavy!

Also this feels like two books stitched together, the sequel not being as good as the original....
