I can’t any more - the wittiness, the Banter the joy I loved in book one has entirely vanished to reveal a heavy handed political lecture. (I understand it - but it means it feels like it isn’t book two)

I love everything about this book so far - the writing reminds me of why I love authors like Stephanie Garber so much. This book has me wanting to keep turning page after page - it’s magical

I’m really enjoying the tension so far and that Ravenna is threatened from every side with seemingly no place to go

I’m finding this book incredibly hard to stay engaged with. I’ll give it another chapter or two but it might be a DNF if it doesn’t pick up soon
