god the MC is insufferable.

the love story most really be good because the world building and introduction of all those background characters is so convoluted and bad that i cannot explain myself the good rating of this book so far.

the plot is very episodic. i can see why the movie made so many changes

oh kaye, oh roiben. you two are so alike.

and corny. man the toxic masculinity does not do you well. it good you abuse, isolation and a magical curse so far. maybe try a new tactic instead? like... therapy???

ufff the shame and cringe the main character experiences is so well written. its hard to pull that of without not being cringe oneself.

i really like how visual the writing is. it feels more like a movie plot than a novel.

interesting but it needed a better editor. there are layout mistakes in it.
plus the translation into german is inconsistent and they translate the same term with different spellings.

i am breezing through this one. It is okay so far. But the different POV are pretty similar to each other making it a bit confusing at time for i am hearing it in audiobook format

Cawl is the most trickster coded character.

and Felix is so tired of his torturer / dad.

everyone but Cawl is having a horrible time on sota.
And Cawl is okay bc he is a bit into the torture.

cawl is such a cunt. i get why Felix dislikes him

I am kind of guessing bc I am listening to this as an audiobook. so, more than half maybe?

i am enjoying this so much i already got the second book
