I haven't got back to this for several months, despite intending to. I found it quite boring at the time so I paused reading it. Maybe also I have grown out of the kind of juvenile situations/ideas Murakami creates/follows.

Really liked this book but it is taking me a long time to finish it because it is very slow at times. Actually it is very slow very often. But it is charming in its teen honesty.

I read 120 pages or so and then stopped. That was about 8 months ago. I intend to go back to this but there are other things getting in the way.

Seems like I have abandoned this. There were too many boring side stories, and interesting plot lines were not returned to for a long long time.

Excellent. Best book I have read in years. The hype seems deserved. But a third of the way through. Full report later.
