So i think Clay being let off the hook at this point sucks. He is as misogynist as everyone else in this book… ofc idk how this is gonna end but he BETTER have some kind of realisation

My scheduled YA book that I read in between grown up books that make me think too much or get depressed.

I wasn’t expecting much from this book but i’m pleasantly surprised by how Clay is written. I was expecting an innocent shy boy but he is quite subtly misogynist, less subtly defensive, I think it works really well and feels realistic.

so excited to finally read this !!!!!!
i’m not a huge fan of the writing style so far, it feels a bit too much like what is just the trendy way to write rn which for me puts distance btwn myself and a narrator. The story itself is interesting and the imagery is there, i’m excited to read more :3

too little has happened for this amount of pages and the action scenes are BORINGGGGGGGG and she often will repeat the same analogy or expression multiple times within a few sentences like she forgot she already did that.

Im also curious cus she keeps describing superglue as “searing” and “sizzling” and I wonder if it’s bc she mentioned hot glue earlier in the book? normal superglue don’t do that
