Spectacular

tbh barely reading anymore just skimming

i really might DNF this damn book. it is the most drawn out book i have ever read. the characters repeat the same thoughts over and over and over throughout the entire thing it literally feels like the author is trying to come across as smart or a better writer than he is. i also don’t give a single fuck about any of the characters they all suck

Slow as fuck

Loving that every chapter switches between time periods. My fav part so far is when she was at Harvard. Omg I hate her.

“I would like to believe that my dread then was for the human condition, but of course it was for me, because I wanted a baby and did not then have one and because I wanted to own the house that cost $1,000 a month to rent and because I had a hangover.” JOANNNNN

Just finished Book 1

This better be worth it

Not having read Fitzgerald since high school I forgot about the poetic writing style. Glad this book is 400+ pages cause it’ll take me a few more chapters to get used to this and remember who each character is

I’m partial to the Texas Ranger LaBoeuf because of Lonesome Dove

I’m constantly filled with anxiety
