Just finished the Sign of Four.. I think this one didn’t hit the mark like ASIS because we knew the motive of why they murdered the people. In ASIS, it led up to it and then revealed. In ASOF, he already revealed the motive. I prefer having the motive revealed at the end I suppose.

Isabella, to me, is a no-go on friendship. She is emotionally manipulative and I'm glad Catherine is strong-willed enough to see through it and stick to what she believes is right. John Thorpe, her brother, is no better. Both of these characters irk me so much. I also fail to see the connection between Tilney and Catherine though besides that one time they talked before he left Bath for a week. Hope it gets better.

In the "The Complete Sherlock Holmes: Volume 1." This edition, which I am not reading nor have, is a placeholder to count among the total of all the titles I have read. I am counting each story I read as one book which is how it is in the volume. Except with only the volume, it only counts as one book. The page count is similar and the story is the same.
