99% of the time I'm reading a nonfiction nature book, there's either David Attenborough or Morgan Freeman narrating in my head.

Bateman. Patrick Bateman. That's who good ole Josef reminds me of, at times.

Maybe it's the cold medicine but all I can picture is a sketch in the style of John Tenniel of the lawyer giving forth discourse from the bathtub.

Ah, I thought this was sounding familiar and, yes, I have read this before, decades ago.

I took a few days break and I'm back now, and...Mr K is just as insufferable as when we last left him.

Sometimes, I spite read books. I really don't want to read them but I accidentally ended up with them due to trigger happy fingers during a stuff your kindle day. So, I feel obliged to at least start them. Even though I'm resentful about it. Sometimes they end up ok. I just really hate how terrible some of them end up being.

I have to say, I really enjoy the fact that while much of the book is enjoyably predictable, the author still manages to pull out pockets of surprise for us.

Everytime I read anything about the witch trials I am always overwhelmed and baffled at the sheer lunacy and stupidity of it all. Humans think far too highly of themselves.

Ha! I knew it.

Guy who is told no one will take notice of him walking through is shocked that people do take notice of him once he gets loud and demanding.

This man lives in assumption-land. Never a thought to seek clarity on a single issue, just assumes everything.

If smugness were a crime this man would be jailed. As it is, he currently remains free and irritating.

This man is driving me insane with his inability to be reasonable or rational in his approach.

I'm not sure you could possibly be more full of your own self-importance than this guy.

Ugh, such a creepy man.

Even my 25% Polish self can't always handle all of the Eastern European anxietal excesses and it takes me a minute to dredge through them.

I don't know why people mention this book and ACOTAR in the same breath because this is a much more enjoyable book.

Okay, now, that is a fun twist in perspective.

This little scene literally made me laugh out loud.

Anthony is so very irritating in his constant self-importance and failures of endurance.
