I know this is a classic, but I just can’t get into it :/

This author describes things, that in his opinion, are “going the extra mile”… when it’s just being a normal/decent human.. if he believes these things are so above and beyond… it concerns me for who he really is…

Reading advice like ‘connect on a human level’ feels like the book assumes its audience has never met another human before.. also, this author is treating basic human decency like it’s some revolutionary leadership hack instead of the bare minimum for functioning in society..
I’m just very confused on who this books target audience is and if they’re okay.

Reading this book for work..only 8 pages in.. and already struggling. The author has already told me 4 times.. how inspiring he is.
Nothing says “I’m inspiring” quite like repeatedly announcing it yourself..
