I’m finally reading this after years of loving the adaption with Will Smith. That movie is so different, but I’m having a time with this book. Don’t know if it’s great yet but it’s not bad

As much as my adult brain wants a deep dive into the world and government of this society, I️ appreciate how neutral Shusterman kept his writing.

I️ FINISHED BEFORE I️ SEE THE MOVIE!!! I’m going to save my review for after I️ just need to give my two cents. I️ do not think this book gives a realistic depiction of that could happen, but I️ loved the storyline and cried so much! The book was great at getting me invested and keeping me involved in the storyline.

Dudes, highkey enjoying this book!!! I️ do however have a love/hate relationship with how the interactions are going, I️ feel like it’s too good to be true. Nonetheless, I’m having a great time, it was a breeze to get into, and I’ve stayed invested!

I’m going to try and finish this book before I️ see the movie this weekend. Hopes and prayers for me.

I’m dnf-ing this book. As much as I️ wanted to enjoy it, the pov switches are just so uninteresting. Maybe I’ll pick it up again in the future but for now I’m done.

I’m really torn rn. I️ don’t like multiple povs, they’re just not my cup of tea. However, I’m really interested in some of these storylines, some are so intriguing, I️ just really hate one. I’m going to give this book a little longer before I️ decide whether to dnf

Craziest body horror I’ve ever experienced in a book. I’ve literally gotten goosebumps, the chills, and have had physical repulsions to words I’ve read in this book. Yucky but I️ can’t stop reading!!!

This book is giving Lord of the Flies so far. I️ do likes it, I️ just hate how it talks about women but I️ get that it’s from the pov of teen boys.

This is to be my longest book yet. I’m very excited but also extremely intimidated, I’m going to read through it slow so I don’t overwhelm myself. Wish me so much luck!!

Oh shit, it’s getting juicy!!

I absolutely love this book every single time that I pick it up, but is so hard for me to reach for it. It is amazing, touching, and so very interesting, but I just never really a need to read it. I’m gonna try real hard to finish it before the year ends so I will be binging tonight!!

I️ don’t know if this is good or bad but I’m finishing these books in like 2 hours. I’ve been ignoring my homework and chores but I️ just can’t stop!! 😭

I️ needed a break from novels because I️ was getting bored of reading pages of just writing. I’m zooming through this book and enjoying it so bad. I’ve already seen the movie on this book and the season of jjk that are out but I️ want to read the manga especially since I’m enjoying this book so much!

Crazy thought…

I️ think I’m going to give myself a challenge to read one classic or a book that was and still is influential per month. Maybe I’ll reread my high school required reading list but either way I️ want to read things that will leave an impact. I️ also want to print out and do book report styled notes so that I’m not just reading a book to gain a number, but to actually understand it.

Literally don’t get these people and their feelings toward each other.
