I puke every time Killian says kitten 🤢 I can’t believe Meryn doesn’t see the ginormous red flags yet!!!

Predictable so far, but I’m loving it. Of course she’s the alpha. And of course there’s only ONE room at the Inn for her and Stark.

What’s up with her mom not being in a psychosis for weeks?? Or the opal necklace? Or the books in Stark’s room! And what’s under the grates…?!

Killian is slimy!!! I feel like he’s the one ordering the Nabbers 🤔 Still wondering about Stark’s staring problem and Meryn’s psychosis/visions.

I think Anassa and Stark’s wolf are mates- apparently mates and their riders can communicate telepathically… it’s giving Fourth Wing.

Also, I envision the tubs/bathrooms like the one in HP Goblet of Fire where Harry takes his golden egg.

I like!! Meryn is trapped via her bond and she can’t flee trials. The Presentation for the (gross) king is still giving Hunger Games. Prince Killian… I KNEW IT WAS LEE. I didn’t trust him from the start!
1. Curious why Egith didn’t know about Nabbers.
2. Why does Stark stare at Meryn all the time (mates?).
3. Still obsessed with Anassa: “she bats her paw just as I try to climb her” LOL

I’m diggin it so far! It’s giving Hunger Games meets Jacob Black with this Bonding ritual. I like the four packs and their roles- leader, spy, warrior, and guardians. I’m super intrigued with Meryn’s hair going full silver (not just a streak) and I love Anassa so far… she’s so sassy!!!

I’m so glad this book is finally available! I’ve had it on hold for MONTHS. I loved The Book of Doors by this author, and this book is giving me the same feels/vibe so far!!

This book is good!!! Like subtly intriguing. I don’t want to stop listening to it to hear how everyone’s story unfolds- as it progresses, there’s a little twist that I didn’t see coming for each of the matches!

I didn’t realize this was like a time travel-ish / time continuum plot. It’s not for me 😭😫 but I’m already too far in, and I do want to know what happens…. So ALAS.

Also, the dad’s name is Kelli and it’s sooo confusing every time. I keep forgetting he’s a guy

I literally cannot put this book down. Every chapter gives just a tad bit more of information and adds a little piece to the puzzle! I have not read a fantasy like this one before- I’m devouring the plot, the setting, the magic, the territory rivalries, the romance, the treachery!!! And Blue 💚 It’s so good.

This book took a turn and it’s so dark. I mean, it did start with a really evil premise with the videos Claire found, but this poor family. The Paul thing has evolved in to something I would’ve never agreed to read, nor would ever want to read. I’m already too far in to not finish it😭

I am loving this so far! Started off with a bang- quite literally! The characters are cute- I love Kai and Messer already. The Alaha territory is giving Tom Sawyer’s island and I’m here for it.

I’ve had so many questions about the Horn relic, the kristallos, the synth- there were so many back & forth theories. But NOW… at page 600!!! It’s juicy!! And it all makes sense.


The turning point rn is crazy!!! Danika 😱 Hunt 😱 I gasp !!!

I’m starting to like the characters more. Hunt is my favorite 💚 I also want to live in Bryce’s apartment. SJM has a beautiful way of world building and setting the scene. I can see everything I’m reading, which is making this book more enjoyable.

Idk how to feel about this one… if it wasn’t SJM, I would’ve DNF already.

First of all, the audiobook is atrocious. I wanted to read the book anyway, so alas.

Second, I despise when fantasy embodies real-life behaviors- like cursing, drugs, etc.

Third, I HATEEEEE when there are 12,000 names and idk wtf they are!! Characters, houses, gods, towns, creatures. I’m only on page 68 and I’m frustrated 😩
